A free resource for community-based actions to reduce vehicle speeds
This Community Toolkit is designed to provide information on vehicle speed, its impact on the community and explore opportunities for communities to be part of changes to improve the safety and vibrancy of their local streets.
Town Team Movement prepared it with support from various Western Australian stakeholders, including the Road Safety Commission, Main Roads WA, Department of Transport, RAC, PJA, many local government professionals and local community leaders.
It will provide you with:
An overview of speed impacts, its management and speed reduction benefits, (including its role in local economic development and community wellbeing).
A series of case studies that can inspire and guide community-led actions and show how it can be done
A snapshot of some process, guidelines and links to relevant documents and policies.
